Oval Shaker Boxes originated in the early 1700s within the Shaker communities of America. These beautifully handcrafted oval storage boxes were designed for everyday use around the home from dry pantry ingredients and kitchen items to small craft supplies, parts for workshops. Shaker Boxes are not only beautiful but are unique in their construction using veneer-like wood thickness, copper rivets and dowels.
